in my "home-forum" there are some new kids who have quite some trouble with "how-to-base-a-figure".
I thought, I'd show the rough process with a little video. The output is quite long with 12 minutes, as I was too lazy to cut a lot and redo some scenes that didn't work well. However, this is my first video tutorial, so don't be too harsh on me, when things happen out of focus ;-)

Have a nice evening!

Nice tutorial!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Just one thing wouldn't it be better to paint the watered down wood glue on the base and then dip it in the sand, apologies but not trying to be an awkward....
ReplyDeleteDon't be shy Fran, that doesn't suit you ;)
DeleteI do it this way because I want the figures "natural" base to vanish completely.
the water-glue-sand mixture gathers around the figure-base, forming a nice slope.
I didn't get this effect with "your" method (you can probably see it in my foregoing post, where I tried this out...)...
Cheers, Mojo
