After presenting the one-man-army yesterday, it's time for some armour!
Enjoy my primed Panzers:
Somehow I'm getting to like how you foreigners misspell the plural of Panzer :)
What do you think, when you hear the word "Panzer"? What do you associate with it?
Tanks in general? German tanks? Some specific kind? I'm curious about that! Go ahead and tell me!
Hi Steve(http://soundofficerscall.blogspot.com/) and Melvin(no blog!?!)! Welcome on board!

Sehr schön! Wie hast du die Ketten so durchgebogen?
ReplyDeleteGrüsse

It's a Plastic Soldier Company Panzer IV.
ReplyDeleteThe Tracks come like that ;)
Nice to know! Thanks
DeletePanzer brings to mind German tanks but it just means tank in German I believe?
ReplyDeleteRight. It's the pronouncable abbreviation for Panzerkampfwagen (the actual abbreviation is Pz. Kw. (=AFV) but this doesn't leave even a german mouth fluently ;) )
DeleteReally nice kits...
ReplyDeleteI should follow your advice to change my unbuild Italeri Pz. IV to those of PSC...
I'm looking forward to seeing them painted...
Cheers
Monty
Do that. Despite they're easy kits, I worked about 8 hours on building and customizing each one of them :) It's really great fun.
DeleteBut on the other hand, you'd be able to build such a kit in about 30 minutes ;)
I'd say: Full scratch option kit :D
The 2nd Panzer IV features a little surprise that I'll uncover when he's painted :)
ReplyDeleteWhat scale are these models? 1/72 or 15mm? the level of detail is outstanding
ReplyDeleteThese are the PSC Pz IV in 1/72.
DeleteThanks! Detailling these beauties takes some time, but definitely pays off :)

gute Panzern! (Hope I got that right, my German is a little rusty!)
ReplyDeleteI used to associate it with German tanks in general, but these days I tend to think of these Panzer IVs in particular. The more I see of the PSC tanks, the more I like them. I need to add some to my collection soon.
Hehe, no you didn't :) The word Panzer applies for singular AND plural ;)
DeleteNo Panzern and no Panzers(as much as I like it, by now...)
It's the same with me. Especially since reading a lot about WWII in english, I tend to associate Pz. Kw. IV with the word "Panzer" or "Panzers". It's being used more often in combination with Blitzkrieg and early war, rather than late war which seems to be dominated by Tiger, Königstiger and Panther in common sense.
Get some, I can really recommend these! I hope for more 1/72 PSC Vehicles in the near future! I desperately need some Sd. Kfz. 251 Ausf. D !!
